Privacy policy

Visiting the website

When you open the website, our hosting provider Vercel Inc. processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Vercel processes the data in data centres in the EU (Frankfurt, Paris). Any transfers to the USA are covered by EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Analytics only with your consent

With your consent via the banner we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) and PostHog (PostHog Inc., servers in the EU). We measure which pages are visited, how far you scroll, which buttons and links are used and whether forms are started or sent – never their content. For this, cookies or similar identifiers are stored (e.g. _ga, ph_*). IP addresses are processed in shortened form. Google may transfer data to the USA; the EU-US Data Privacy Framework applies.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent nothing is measured. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Fonts and images are loaded from our own server. In your browser's storage (localStorage) we remember the language you last chose and your decision in the banner. This information never leaves your device.

Requests via the forms

When you request a first analysis or write to us via a form, we process your details (name, company, email address, optionally phone, your systems, revenue range and message) to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The forms send your details to our application at app.butterfine.com, hosted at Supabase in the EU (Frankfurt), where they are stored in our customer records. We are notified by e-mail (sent via Resend). If no contract follows a first analysis, the data you provided for the analysis is deleted after the analysis.

We keep requests for up to 24 months after the last contact and then delete them.

Booking a call via Calendly

When you book a call with Calendly via a link, you leave our website. The booking is subject to the privacy policy of Calendly LLC (USA).

Signing in to the butterfine platform

The “Log in” link leads to the butterfine platform at app.butterfine.com, which has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights at any time:
